In November I wrote about the idea of dropping the mail and instead gather communication about a project on dedicated project sites with chats and document storage, etc. At that time Atos planned to get rid of mail within three years.
Now reality has moved to Denmark where Exformatics've tried (and indeed survived) to be without mail for a month - with success. Read the article here. It is about focus and efficiency and to eliminate unnecessary mails big time.
As project manager you have always the possibility of taking steps in that direction on a project.
